With the professional version of Help!, you have the ability to simulate a wide variety of software and hardware conditions. For example, you can simulate adding or removing memory, changing from a color monitor to B&W, changing from a Macintosh IIci to a Powerbook, turning 32-bit addressing on or off, turning personal file sharing on or off, and much, much more! It even allows you to simulate any version of the Macintosh system software since 6.0.4!
The professional version of Help! also provides a much more detailed report. An extensive Configuration section is added to the basic MacMedic邃｢ System Configuration report which provides support professionals with vital information to effectively and efficiently get problems resolved, and end-users up and running.
The Configuration section includes the following subsections:
General - including machine type, system software version, processor type, coprocessor type, main monitor type, owner name, PMMU type, MultiFinder on/off, amount of memory installed, amount of memory available, ROM version, AppleTalk version, QuickDraw version, virtual memory on/off, 32-bit addressing on/off, Personal File Sharing on/off, keyboard type, mouse type, and other devices.
System Folder Information - The System Folder Information section contains important detailed information covering everything you need to know about files added to the user窶冱 System Folder.
The System Files section contains the version, file size, suggested memory, size, application memory size, creation date and modification date of the Finder and System files.
The Printer Drivers section lists the version, file size, network status, postscript capability, creation date and modification date of installed printer drivers.
The INITs section contains the version, file size, system heap size, creator, creation and modification date of every installed INIT.

Applications - Applications will show you everything you need to know about applications found resident on scanned devices including name, version, creator, application memory size, suggested memory size, creation and modification dates.

DAs/Drivers - Each installed desk accessory and chooser extension is shown with its corresponding ID number.
System Settings - System settings information is displayed including alarm setting, application font, delay until repeat, key repeat rate, speaker volume, double-click speed, insertion point blinking, mouse tracking speed, startup device, menu blink, RAM cache on/off, RAM cache size, and SCSI address of the startup disk.
SCSI Devices - The address, state, drive, model, revision, type and media type is displayed for each SCSI device.
Volume Information - Each mounted volume is listed including its type, format, total space, free space, number of files and startup status. Boot block information including boot blocks version, system file name, finder file name, debugger file name, disassembler file name, startup screen file name, initial file to run, clipboard file name, initial number of open files, maximum number of events, and default system heap size.
Expansion Cards - Information relating to expansion cards include name, vendor, board ID, slot, revision level, and part number.
Video Information - including type, screen size, row bytes, resolution, and pixel size.
Currently Open Files - shows you the name, file fork, access privileges, and associated volume for each currently open file.
